No featured article yet. Once the first articles are written, an admin can feature one here by editing Template:Main Page/Featured. A short summary and a link is all it needs.
This is the "Featured article" box on the Main Page. Replace the text above with a two-or-three sentence summary of the featured article, an image if it has one, and a "Read more" link, e.g.:
